We are looking for a dynamic and experienced arts education professional to lead our innovative project with 2 SEN schools in Leicester/shire for final year of our current programme: ‘Unlocking the world through art : A Sensory Atelier’.
Funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Test and Explore fund, we are developing new critical approaches for applying the Reggio Emilia method to SEN school settings, and exploring the legacy of this learning for children and staff, including new ways for children with disabilities to engage with contemporary art and the curriculum.
The post will be based at the Attenborough Arts Centre with some work located at the partner schools, and will include all project management and liaising with partners.
A key aspect of the role in year two is to examine the findings gained through the project so far to write a final report and work on sustaining this work with further external funding applications.
This is a contract for the final year of a two year fixed term post externally funded by the PAUL Hamlyn Foundation, Test and Explore fund.
