We have an superb fixed term contract opportunity for a Project Officer: Student Engagement (Culture) to join the Attenborough Arts Centre. In this role, your main focus will be to increase student engagement in cultural activity primarily focussed around the work of the University Attenborough Arts Centre (AAC), its partners and linked to the student associations involved in arts activity.

Working as part of a small team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering marketing, communication and events promoting cultural elements of Leicester’s student experience in close collaboration with the AAC. This pilot role will also focus on maximising connections to the planned De Stress Festival aimed at the health and well-being of students around exam time, working closely with welfare, counselling and accessibility services as well as test ways to enhance career development opportunities through volunteering, work placements and a cultural ambassador’s scheme.

As the successful candidate, you will have academic or vocational qualifications (NVQ 3, general education to A Level, City and Guilds or equivalents) plus experience in a relevant role or significant relevant work experience in a comparable setting. It is essential that you have good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of using a content management system or website and have knowledge and experience of marketing and social networking.
