This is a partnership initiative with Freedom Arts Community Organisation; who engage the community through creative based workshops and events which empower, encourage and promote social inclusion and well-being. The Colour of Love is a project celebrating mixed race relationships in Nottinghamshire from the 1940’s to the 1970’s. It is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The appointee will manage an activities plan focused on uncovering, documenting and archiving oral histories of mixed race relationships & marriages in Nottinghamshire. The project will culminate in a 2018 Launch event at Nottingham Playhouse.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong project management and community engagement experience to take lead responsibility for this exciting first for Nottinghamshire.
