Church Lane Primary School in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, have received funding from The Johnson Mukherjee Charitable Trust to deliver the No Wrong Way art and wellbeing project which aims to reduce children’s levels of anxiety and increase their confidence, co-delivered with The National Centre for Craft & Design (NCCD).
We are looking for an artist to deliver the project and work alongside the NCCD team and within Church Lane Primary School. The appointed artist will deliver ten workshop sessions in a range of visual arts techniques to create exciting sketch books with a class of 30 children in year 5 (aged 9-10 years). The children will be encouraged to experiment, use different materials in mark-making, explore messy materials, try things out, accept mistakes and explore feelings through creativity. The workshops will use new sketchbooks for the project, and will result in a showcase of work at NCCD.
For full details please download the artist brief and application form. For an informal discussion regarding the opportunity please contact Lucy Lumb on lucy.lumb@lincsinspire.com or call 01529 308718.
