Communications Assistant

We are seeking a Communications Assistant to join us at one of the UK’s most successful public art galleries. We have welcomed 1.7 million visitors since opening in May 2011 and have firmly established the gallery as a major local, national and international visitor attraction.

The Communications & Development team is responsible for maintaining and growing the gallery’s reputation as a world-class cultural centre, for developing audiences for the diverse mix of programming we present and to increase income from a wide variety of fundraising sources.

As Communications Assistant, you will provide dedicated marketing, digital and press support to help us continue to grow our audiences and further build the gallery’s reputation regionally, nationally and internationally.

You will have a good understanding of communications, ideally in a cultural, tourism or third sector environment with excellent interpersonal and communications skills and experience of using social media for promotional purposes.

If you have an interest in the arts and would like a career in communications, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
