About this Role:

As a key member of Cement Field’s team working towards Estuary 2020 you will be based in Gravesend working largely, but not exclusively on the North Kent side of the river. This is a senior role with responsibility to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and opportunities for the festival programme; work with artists to produce and realise new, commissioned work and show existing works; help to raise funds and develop the resources and team to deliver an exciting set of cultural development and arts events programming; and work with a wide and diverse constituency of people.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you if: you thrive on building relationships and delivering ambitious programme; you can demonstrate a commitment to creating opportunities for people of all ages and from all walks of life to participate in, and access contemporary art; and if you can evidence practical experience of attracting funding and resources to create exciting cultural events.

Managing a broad range of activities you will be highly organised, self-motivated and proactive, with a proven track record in a similar senior role within the arts. You will be able to operate effectively under pressure with excellent communication skills, good humour and energy and, as a representative of Cement Fields, work generously with a wide range of communities.

Estuary 2020 is part of Creative Estuary, one of five Cultural Development Fund projects across England, which will create the foundations for a transformational, culture-led innovation and growth strategy for North Kent and South Essex. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport funds the Cultural Development Fund which is administered by Arts Council England.
