Chair Operations & Finance Committee

The Mighty Creatives (TMC) is a charity whose vision is to improve the lives of children and young people through creative and cultural education. Based in Leicester and with a remit for the East Midlands, our staff team pulls together more than 20 creative professionals from a range of backgrounds to design, lead and champion change-making partnerships, products and programmes.

In addition to the core team, we work with an increasingly wide range of experts to benefit from their specialist skills. This includes finding ambitious ways of collaborating with children and young people themselves, benefiting from their creativity and capacity for innovation.

TMC is governed by its Chair and 10-strong Board of Trustees who, between them, have experience of working in education, public, private and voluntary sector organisations. As part of an ongoing development of our Board of Trustees,  TMC is looking to recruit to the key position of Vice-Chair to the Board of Trustees and Chair, Operations & Finance Committee (a sub committee) which will soon become vacant.

This important position requires someone who is skilled in understanding the requirements of running a charity and will recognise the demands made from working with a wide range of funding sources and agendas. This person will need to be able to read and understand balance sheets/management accounts and help us provide quality financial information to our key stakeholders, including Arts Council England.
