WOW Norwich 2018 Freelance Facilitator

Southbank Centre is a place that unites people through the exchange of ideas, the power of creativity and the imagination and through freedom of expression.  We passionately believe in the power of art, ideas and creativity to inspire, educate and effect change.  Born out of the Festival of Britain in 1951, we are proud to be the UK’s only permanent festival site and a place where people experience world-class art and culture.  Our employees are at the centre of delivering our mission, which is ‘to create a permanent sense of festival where the world meets to celebrate the power of the imagination’.

2018 is the centenary of female suffrage in the UK. We are marking this milestone with WOW Spirit, a partnership between Southbank Centre’s WOW – Women of the World festival and Spirit of 2012, who have funded the project. We’re looking for an experienced Facilitator based in, and with a passion for, Norwich, to lead on the delivery of the Volunteer Programmes that form part of WOW Norwich 2018. The postholder will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the Volunteer Programmes for WOW Norwich. With experience in delivering community-based training programmes on time and on budget, the ideal candidate will have excellent planning, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.  A flexible, proactive and positive approach to work is also required.  Displaying an interest in learning about Southbank Centre activity, you will recognise, and be committed to, the important role that diversity and inclusivity play in all aspects of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be available to manage the shortlisting process of volunteers and to sit on the interview panel for the volunteer interviews, as deemed necessary.  This activity is scheduled for late January 2018.

This role is based in Norwich.
